Josh Comes to Town

Wednesday, March 16
I went straight from work to pick up Josh from the airport. His plane was supposed to land at 5:20 pm so the timing for me to get to the airport from work would be perfect. We went from the airport to get Ryan from the school and then home to make dinner. We had a great time catching up and hearing what was new in Josh's life. I had my online class from 8:00 - 9:30 that night so Ryan and Josh went to the gym at NCSU to burn time. They came home and we chatted until everyone was exhausted.

Josh wanted a "real" picture of us and this is what he got :) We were laughing pretty hard while Josh was trying to take this picture because he had the timer set for 10 seconds before the picture would be taken

Thursday, March 17
Unfortunately, I had to work while Josh was in town. Ryan was able to spend the morning with Josh and they went to Duke's campus to buy more Duke memorabilia. Apparently, our family has become Duke fans because we all have Duke shirts/shorts/coin purses/pencils. They came to the school so Ryan could go to class and Josh just hung around the campus. He wandered around, went to the student center and watched NCAA games, took a nap on the couch and went to the institute. I met up with him and Ryan after work and we went home for dinner.
After dinner, we went over to a friends house to watch some of the NCAA games.

Friday, March 18
I had to work again, but Ryan and Josh were able to spend the morning together again. Me and Josh went to the Pit BBQ for lunch and that is always good. I went back to work and Josh went to our apartment and took a nap.

He came and got me at 5:00, we went to get him a swimsuit, went to pick Ryan up from school and headed to Noah and LaShae's house from there.
LaShae was suprising Noah for his birthday and Josh got to tag along to that. He was able to meet more of our friends, have dinner and we watched more NCAA games. LaShae had some fun games for us to play. We all filled out a survey on how well we knew Noah (I won, not sure how), pin the hair on Noah's head. She had photo shopped a picture of Noah that didn't have hair and we took turns pinning his hair on his head.
Josh and Ryan watched more NCAA games and I fell asleep on the couch.

Saturday, March 19
We slept in and took our time eating breakfast and getting ready. Around noon, we headed to the beach! Josh really wanted to go even though it was March and we weren't opposed to it, so we went. Our first stop was the aquarium at Fort Fisher. I haven't been to an aquarium in a while, but this was one great! There was a lot to see and we were there in time to watch them feed the alligators - the trainers went in the cage and had their hands so close to the alligators mouth - I was scared just watching that! :) After we finished up at the aquarium, we went to the beach. The weather wasn't as warm as it was the day before but it was still in the 70's. Ryan looked up the water temperature and that was in the 60's....Brrrr! Josh really wanted to get in the ocean and boogie board so he did just that. He was the only one in the water and was out there for a good 20 minutes or more boogie boarding. By the time he came in, he was a big goose bump but he had fun! We went to dinner at the Oceanic and headed home. It was a fun day on the coast and i'm glad Josh was able to go to the beach for his spring break.

Sunday, March 20
Josh's plane left at 7:45 am so we made sure to get him to the airport early! He did get delayed once again in Dallas but luckily he didn't have to spend the night in an airport like he did last year on his way home from visiting us.

Thanks for coming to see us Josh! We loved having you here!!

As Promised....More Pictures

Here are more pictures from our photo shoot last weekend. We think they turned out great! We are getting more and more excited to meet this little guy in just a few weeks.

Ever since we found out we were pregnant, we have called the baby "seven". It is a reference from Seinfeld - and Ryan loves that show!

He will be a Ute fan!

Ryan bought these shoes in Paris for the baby from Zara - I love them!

Ryan Goes to London, Staci Goes to the Larkin's

Ryan has been in London/Paris for the past 10 days. His studio this semester has a site in London and they went to go see the site for their upcoming projects this semester. Since they were going to be so close, a few of his classmates decided it would be fun to take the chunnel over to Paris. So they were in Paris for a few days too. He has had a lot of fun and can't wait for us to go over to Europe together some day. I have been to both London and Paris before so I tease Ryan that I have already been there and done that. :) It would have been fun to be there with him.

I have stayed behind before when he leaves on vacation, but this time I think it has been hard because i'm pregnant. I would have gone on the trip if I wasn't 32 weeks pregnant and trying to save my vacation days for when the baby comes. But we are looking forward to the baby coming and couldn't be happier about being pregnant - so it is ok. We were able to email daily and g-chat a few days which was something I looked forward to. With the 5-6 hour time difference it was a little hard to make sure we were online at the same time, but most days we were able to be on at the same time.

Luckily, this time while he was gone I was able to stay at the Larkin's house. They are seriously the funnest family ever! They are also the busiest family ever! We are so lucky to have them as friends and really they are more like family to us. I really appreciate them letting me stay at their home. I was busy with school tests, videos and papers but it was nice coming home to a house full of people, not an empty apartment.

Ryan gets home this afternoon at 3:50 pm and I am counting down the hours! I can't wait to see him when I get done with work and hear all about his trip. I know he has missed me (and the baby too) as much as I have missed him!
