Alec's swim meet & Fishing at Georgetown, CO

Saturday morning we went to Alec's swim meet. He swam in 4 different races, and did a good job. We were so proud of him and were glad we could go watch him swim.

That afternoon, we drove to Georgetown, a small mountain town in Colorado and went fishing. Me and Dianna went and walked around the main street for a bit while the boys continued fishing. The town was small, but beautiful. Everyone in the little shops was so nice to us. I bought some Larimar earings, and Dianna bought a new watch. Both were on a great sale!! Can't beat that! :) The lake was right up against the mountains, and it couldn't have been more perfect! The boys didn't catch any fish this time, but had fun anyway.

Cranmer Park

We love going for walks at night as a family. Nolan does pretty well in the stroller and loves being outside. The other night we went to Cranmer park. Ryan loves going to that area of town because of all the modern homes that are around the park. We make sure to take pictures of them as we walk by...I think Ryan is trying to convert me to having a modern home in the future, what do you think? There are a few that I like, but for the most part they are too "boxy" for me.

Ryan really likes this one a lot

I like this one the best

Ryan thought it was funny how you could see our "tracks" on the grass and had to get a picture

Tummy Time

Nolan has been good at holding his head up since the day he was born. He still crashes it down on my shoulder or on the ground every once and a while, but for the most part he does really well. He loves to look around and we think he is so cute when he lying on his tummy.

So focused on what he is doing

I'm getting pretty good at this, am I almost done?

I'm tired of this...turn me over

Denver Visitors

Mom, dad, Collie, Zach and Corbin came to visit us last weekend! We missed having Josh (EFY counselor) and Easton come along for the fun! Corbin and Nolan are 3 weeks and 3 minutes apart, we were very excited to meet him. Everyone flew in early Friday (June 17) morning. My mom and dad rented a car and brought everyone back to our place.

We went to lunch at Buffalo Bakery for lunch and had a fun time there. We went back to our place and waited for Ryan to get home. Once he got home, we went to Blue Bonnet for dinner and drove around downtown Denver to show everyone around. Everyone was pretty tired from getting up early, so we just watched a movie and went to bed.

The boys were troopers and did really well with all the running around we did

Saturday
Ryan and Zach went on a tour of a building that Ryan's firm designed. While they were on the tour, everyone else went to Cherry Creek mall and walked around. We met up for lunch at a place across the street from our place. Everyone was able to choose where they wanted to go for lunch; Noodles & Co., Chipolte, or Indian food. That night we went to the Rockies game and it was so much fun! Our seats were fantastic, and the weather was perfect. The game was packed, and we were lucky to get seats by each other. The babies did really well, and they received a lot of attention from other people.

Corbin was very interested in the game :)

Sunday
We went to church in the morning and then to a park for lunch. We met up with Ryan's family at the park and had a fun time there. That night we watched an oldie but goodie, City Slickers and went to bed.
Monday
We went to the Denver Museum of Natural Science and paid the extra money to see the Pirate exhibit. My favorite exhibit was the Ancient Egypt, and the Pirates came in a close second.

For dinner that night we went to the Cherry Cricket. Zach had been looking up places to eat that the food network challenge had been to. This was one of the places and it did not disappoint. The hamburgers were delicious.

It was so much fun having my family come to visit. We always have a great time when we are together. Thanks dad, mom, Collie, Zach and Corbin for a fun weekend! Love you guys!!!

First Father's Day

I know it is a few days late, but I wanted to say Happy Father's Day to Ryan! It was his first father's day and I hope he had a good one! He is a great dad to Nolan and a great husband too! We are so lucky to have him in our lives! Love you!

People's Fair in downtown Denver

Last weekend (June 4) we went to the people's fair that was in the Civic Center in downtown Denver. There were a ton of booths, good food and live music. We walked around for a while and it was fun to see more of the city.

Nolan was a champ in his stroller

My first snow cone of the year - love them!

Sunsets from the Roof

We have a great view of the sunsets here in Denver from our roof. Take a look for yourself. This one wasn't the best we have seen, but it was still fun to relax and enjoy the cool nights that we have forgotten about living in the south.

City Park

Since Ryan grew up in Denver, he knows a lot about the city and where things are. Me on the other hand...i'm still learning how to get 2 people ready before noon and find my way to the grocery store! :) The other night we went for a walk in City park, it is located pretty close to downtown. It reminded me a lot of Sugarhouse park back in Salt Lake. We had a fun time and Nolan loved being outside.

In the middle of our walk I needed to feed Nolan. Ryan thought it was so cute that all you could see were his feet and every once and a while they would move. We decided it was like on the Wizard of Oz where the wicked witch's feet were poking out from under the house.

While I was feeding Nolan, Ryan ventured off to look around the park. We were surrounded by a ton of Canadian geese...at one point I thought they were going to attack us because we were in their territory. Luckily, Ryan got back in time before they could get any closer and scared them away.
