Conference Weekend Fun!

Last weekend was just wonderful!  Friday night my parents called to invite us down for dinner.  They had made too much food, so we went down there for a bit.  After dinner, we took Nolan to the planetarium and he always loves that.  He liked standing on the scale upstairs and looking at the different martian pictures that would come up depending on which planet he chose.  The scale also showed his weight on the different planets, just for the record he is at 35 pounds right now.

Saturday we were off to an early start.  Nolan came into our room around 6:45 am and we decided to get up and get going.  Ryan painted the hall area, I cleaned up, watched as much conference as I could and took Nolan to the grocery store.  We went up Big Cottonwood canyon in the afternoon to explore and go fishing.  Ryan caught a fish, and Nolan was so excited.  Ryan took him down to the fish, showed it to him, Nolan touched it and kept looking up at me and smiling yelling, "We caught a fish!"  It was a fun father/son moment.

We left the canyon and went straight to my parents house so the boys could attend priesthood session and the girls could do their usual Hires and shoe shopping.  All the kids were really good, and there weren't any problems.  Mom got a purse, and the rest of the girls picked boots this time.  I love this tradition and can't wait until our April adventure!

The boys came home from priesthood and Chuck-A-Rama and we started watching the Utah vs UCLA game.  The game started at 8:30 pm mountain time, so we recorded it and started it around 9:45 pm.  It was a crazy game, and the Utes were able to get a win at the Rose Bowl!  UCLA was ranked, and it was a road win which made it that much more exciting.  Everyone stayed down at my parents house since it was late.  It was a full house again!

Sunday morning we had sausage/egg casserole that mom had made.  The boys played outside, played with Ridge and Sammy while everyone else cleaned up and watched/listened to conference.  Scottie, Nae and crew, Paul, Lisa and crew came over for lunch and the afternoon session of conference.

It was such a fun weekend.  It was nice spending time with family, and listening to conference and watching the Utes get a win!
