Over Memorial Day Weekend (May 25, 26) we went camping at Deseret Peak that is out by Grantsville, UT. We left around 5:30 pm on Saturday night and it took about an hour and a half to get there. We were a little worried about being able to find a decent spot to camp for the night since it is such a popular weekend for being outdoors. We totally lucked out and found a perfect spot that someone had just left and the fire pit was still warm! We couldn't believe it - it was away from all the other campers. We set up camp before we lost too much daylight and got dinner going. Ryan and Jared had made tinfoil dinners for everyone that were fantastic! For the rest of the night we roasted s'mores and sat around the fire pit.
The next morning we got up and had doughnuts and fruit for breakfast, packed up and came back home. Josh and Macy watched Nolan while we were away and we really appreciated them for doing that!
