The Spudman

Last weekend (July 27 & 28) we went up to Idaho to support Josh and Collie as they completed in the Spudman triathlon.  We started driving Friday afternoon after work and actually drove past Burley, Idaho (where the race was) and spent the night in Twin Falls at Hampton Inn. I was surprised when we beat everyone else there in the other cars since they all left before we did.  The other cars had to check in and drop their bikes off which is what took them a little longer.  We went to dinner at Johnny Carino's around 9:00 pm and the service was the slowest ever!  We finally got back to the hotel around 11:00 pm.  Me and my mom walked over to the gas station across the street to pick up a few lottery tickets.  :) 

Saturday morning we got up real early to head back to Burley to watch the race.  Collie and Josh were in an early heat at 7:10 am.  We were able to follow them along the route and see them on the bike and obviously on the run when they crossed the finish line.  We were all so proud of them and what an accomplishment it is to finish this!  They were exhausted after the race - so we headed home.  We stopped at Jack In the Box for lunch, at the rocket garden at my dad's work in Tremonton, UT and then at the bird refuge in Brigham City, UT.  It was a fast and fun trip!  I am glad we were able to support my siblings in this event!
