Goodbye Silver Bullet

I don't do well with change.  I like to just lay low and do what needs to be done.  With winter slowly creeping up on us and our vehicle registration coming due this month we decided it would be good to get a car with all wheel drive/4 wheel drive.  We went and drove a car on Saturday in Bountiful just to see how we liked the car we were thinking of.  Of course we liked it and knew it would be perfect for our little family.  We went home that day and washed our car and listed it on KSL and craigslist.  We felt the price was fair and weren't sure if it would sell quickly or not.  We thought back to selling the green machine before we moved to NC and it sold in 1 day - the first person who came wanted it.  Within 10 hours of the car being posted we had received 10 calls/text messages about the car.  Monday night Lisa came to drive it - the first person to actually follow through with it and she liked it.  She told us she wanted it and would bring a check on Tuesday.  She left around 7:30 pm so we called a car dealer in Murray and went to drive a car we had been looking at and knew we would like.  We drove it and everything seemed perfect.  We told the car salesman we wanted to sleep on it and would call him on Tuesday.

Silver Bullet has been good to us.  I am sad to see her go.  She took me across the country 3 times, brought home our first child, got us through a terrible winter last year, drove us to the beach and all along the east coast.  So many memories in that car.  It is just a car and it might be silly to get so sad.  I'm glad we sold the car to a nice girl who will get some good use out of it.
